QNAP NAS Backup

Description

This plugin needs to be run with the Multi-Application Recovery Service (MARS).

This plugin can simply backup and restore your WordPress website with QNAP NAS, including the database, mediafiles, plugins and themes with unlimited size.

QNAP NAS Backup can also set a daily or weekly automatic backup schedule to save you time.

Installation

  1. QNAP NAS Backup can be installed directly through your WordPress plugins dashboard.
  2. Click “Add New” and Search for “QNAP”
  3. Install and Activate

Alternatively you can download the plugin using the download button on this page and then upload the qnap folder to the /wp-content/plugins/ directory then activate throught the Plugins dashboard in WordPress

Very misleading when taking the backup. You have the option to backup everything, including DB. When checking successful backup file size its not even close to what suppose to be. On top of that, restore fails without giving any clue as to the reason.

I (try to) use it to backup my client’s websites. For the majority it doesn’t work, it fails without any clue about the reason of the failure. And for the worst part sometimes the backup supposedly succeed , but in reality the backup is empty. This is really bad, because you think to have a working backup but in reality you have nothing in your hands. At this stage definitely it should not be used by any professional or serious company
