AI Flash Tune – Abandoned Cart Recovery & Funnel Analytics for WooCommerce

AI Flash Tune – Abandoned Cart Recovery & Funnel Analytics for WooCommerce

Description

Win back abandoned carts for free, and see where your WooCommerce store loses sales.

AI Flash Tune emails shoppers who left their cart, puts the cart back with one click, and counts every order it wins back. A dashboard shows where the rest of the money leaks (product pages, the cart page or checkout) and what to change first.

It also gets the store ready for shoppers who now start in ChatGPT, Gemini or Perplexity: it shows who those assistants send and whether they buy, keeps bots out of your numbers, and checks that AI assistants can read your products.

All of it is free: no limit on carts or emails, no “powered by” line in your emails, no account to create, and no upgrade pop-ups.

Abandoned cart recovery, included

  • Up to three reminder emails per cart (1 hour, 1 day and 3 days after the cart was left, by default), in your WooCommerce email design. Change every word and the timing, preview them, or send yourself a test.
  • Each email shows the cart and a “Return to your cart” button that puts the items back on any device and opens checkout.
  • An optional one-time coupon in any reminder, valid only for that shopper and applied for them.
  • Reminders stop as soon as the shopper orders. An order after a reminder counts as recovered revenue, and you get an email when it happens.
  • The checkout email is saved as it is typed, on classic and block checkout, so carts left half-way through checkout can be reminded.
  • A “Save my cart” box on the cart page and an optional popup when a shopper is about to leave, so shoppers who never reach checkout can leave an email too. Both are off until you turn them on.
  • WhatsApp: when a shopper typed a phone number, one click opens WhatsApp with your message and their cart link. You press Send.
  • Reminders go out in the shopper’s language. The default texts come in 23 languages.
  • Opens, returns to the cart, recovered orders and recovery rate for any period, and the full history of each cart.
  • An “Are emails going out?” check: the last and next run, emails sent and failed today, and what to do when WordPress’s scheduled tasks are not running.
  • A never-remind list for your team, test orders or wholesale buyers (emails, whole domains or IP addresses).
  • An unsubscribe link and header in every email, a “No thanks” link at checkout, and support for WordPress’s personal data export and erase tools.
  • Switching from Cart Abandonment Recovery (CartFlows), Abandoned Cart Lite or FunnelKit Automations? Bring over their open carts and every address that unsubscribed, in one click.

See where the money leaks

  • A dashboard with revenue, orders, average order, conversion, money left in carts and money won back, visits and orders per day, devices, and where shoppers stop.
  • The biggest leak, with what to change for it. Settings the plugin can change for you have a “Do it” button with Undo, and 14 days later the dashboard shows the rate before and after.
  • Funnel, Products, Carts and Checkout pages with plain-language hints, client reports and a weekly summary email.

Ready for AI shoppers

  • Visits sent by ChatGPT, Gemini, Perplexity, Copilot, Claude and other assistants are recognised, remembered on the order, and compared with everyone else in Funnel.
  • “Ready for AI shopping” on the dashboard: can AI assistants read the store, which products lack what AI shopping answers need (description, image, price, brand, barcode, reviews), and are returns and delivery clear.
  • Bots, scripts and AI fetchers are kept out of your visits and your cart list.
  • Optional review requests after the order, because reviews are what shoppers and AI answers look for.
  • Ask ChatGPT or Claude about your store: switch it on and AI apps you connect with your own login can read the reports (totals only, read-only).

Optional AI

The plugin works with your store’s own data and never needs an AI key. If you want written explanations and action plans, connect OpenAI, Claude or Zywrap in Settings.

AI Flash Tune is built around one principle:

Do not guess. Use store signals. Show confidence. Recommend safe, reversible improvements.

Everything else in the free plugin

Dashboard

Leak Scan opens with the numbers that matter for the period you pick (7, 30 or 90 days): revenue, orders, average order, conversion, money left in carts and money recovered. It shows visits and orders per day, where shoppers stop, how phones compare with computers, and the biggest leak with the few changes most likely to fix it. When there is too little data, it says so instead of guessing.

Funnel

Product views, add to cart, checkout and orders, with the drop-off between each step. Compare phones with computers, or new with returning customers, side by side.

Products

How each product sells: visits, add-to-cart rate, orders and conversion against your store average, with Leaking, Weak, Good and Needs data filters. Each product page shows its own funnel and a plain-language hint about its weakest step.

Checkout

Counts the fields shoppers have to fill in on classic and block checkout, and flags friction such as forced account creation.

Reports

A client-ready report (HTML or CSV) for any period, a weekly summary email, and a change history of everything AI Flash Tune changed, with Undo.

Tracking you can trust

A small first-party script records product, cart, checkout and order steps. It adds no database queries to page loads, makes no third-party requests and works with page caching. Admins and shop managers are left out by default, and tracking can wait for visitor consent.

Privacy tools

IP anonymisation, data retention, excluded roles and IP addresses, delete-on-uninstall, and WordPress’s personal data export and erase tools.

Optional AI Modes

AI Flash Tune supports local insights and optional external AI modes where available.

Local Mode

Local Mode uses private, rule-based insights from data stored on the site.

No OpenAI, Claude or Zywrap request is made in Local Mode.

This keeps the base plugin useful even when the store owner does not want to connect an external AI provider.

OpenAI Mode

OpenAI Mode uses the site owner’s OpenAI API key to write explanations, summaries and action plans (funnel, products, checkout, carts, weekly summary) from sanitized store totals.

Claude Mode

Claude Mode uses the site owner’s Anthropic API key to write the same explanations, summaries and action plans with Claude (Claude Haiku 4.5 by default, or Claude Sonnet 5), from sanitized store totals.

Zywrap Mode

Zywrap Mode uses the site owner’s Zywrap key and ready-made WooCommerce prompts for the same answers, written from sanitized store totals.

Zywrap requests include the selected AI response language when configured.

AI Response Language

AI Flash Tune includes an AI Response Language setting for OpenAI, Claude and Zywrap output.

By default, AI response language can follow the WordPress/admin language. Store owners can choose a specific response language in settings when they want reports, summaries, and AI guidance in another language.

Product names, metrics, URLs, code values, WooCommerce paths, and admin screen names should remain unchanged where appropriate.

AI Flash Tune Pro

Everything above works in this free plugin, without a licence or an AI key. That includes all of the cart recovery.

AI Flash Tune Pro is a separate plugin, sold and installed from aiflashtune.com ($79 a year for one store, $129 a year for up to 5 stores, $199 a year for up to 25 stores). It adds, inside the same pages:

  • WhatsApp and SMS cart reminders, sent automatically to shoppers who agree at checkout (with your own Meta or Twilio account)
  • Revenue Watchdog: an email the moment orders, checkout, payments, tracking or reminders stop working
  • AI included: AI answers without your own API key, with a monthly allowance
  • A second subject line test for reminders, and bigger coupons for bigger carts
  • White-label client reports, an AI checkout review, product copy with Undo, and one ranked Action Plan

This free plugin does not install, update or unlock Pro, and it never contacts the AI Flash Tune licence or update servers.

Privacy and Data Safety

Cookie and visitor consent

Frontend tracking sets one first-party cookie, aiflt_session_id, holding a random visit ID for up to 30 days. It is used only to group one visitor’s page views, cart and checkout steps in the store owner’s own database.

Turn on “Wait for visitor consent before tracking” in Settings & AI Keys if your visitors are in the EU or UK. Nothing is then recorded until the visitor accepts statistics cookies in a consent banner that supports the WP Consent API (for example Complianz or CookieYes). Sites with another consent tool can answer through the aiflt_has_tracking_consent filter.

For guests, the checkout email address is stored with the visitor’s own session once it is typed, so an abandoned cart can be recognised as recoverable. Tools > Export Personal Data and Tools > Erase Personal Data cover both registered customers and guests.

Cart reminders

When reminders are on, AI Flash Tune keeps, for each cart it may remind: the shopper’s email and first name, the cart contents and value, the language of the page, and the phone number if one was typed at checkout. Reminder emails contain a 1×1 image that records when an email is opened (approximate, since many email apps block images) and links that record when the cart is opened. Addresses that unsubscribe are kept only as a one-way hash, so they are never emailed again. Finished reminders are deleted after the tracking retention period, and never kept less than 90 days so reports stay complete. Tools > Export Personal Data and Erase Personal Data include this data.

The WhatsApp button never sends anything by itself: it opens WhatsApp with the message written, and the store owner decides whether to send it.

AI Flash Tune is designed to use local and aggregate store signals wherever possible.

Before external AI calls, payloads are intended to be sanitized and limited to the information needed for the selected AI action.

Examples of data that can be used for AI guidance:

  • Total sessions
  • Product views
  • Cart count
  • Checkout count
  • Purchase count
  • Abandoned cart count
  • Checkout field count
  • Page-speed signals
  • Product performance summary
  • Anonymous segment comparison
  • Store configuration signals relevant to the selected action

Examples of data that should not be sent to AI providers by default:

  • Customer names
  • Customer emails
  • Phone numbers
  • Billing addresses
  • Shipping addresses
  • IP addresses
  • Payment details
  • Private order notes
  • Passwords
  • Tokens
  • API keys
  • Unnecessary personal data

AI Flash Tune recommendations should be reviewed before applying changes.

Checkout settings, product copy, recovery emails, pricing, payment providers, shipping promises, discounts, trust badges, urgency tactics, and other conversion-sensitive changes should not be changed unless the store owner has reviewed the recommendation and the available data supports that action.

External Services

AI Flash Tune does not contact any server of its own. It has no licence check, no update check and no usage reporting. The only external requests it can make are to the AI provider the site owner configures below.

AI Flash Tune can connect to external AI services only when configured and enabled by the site owner.

If external AI features are not configured, local insights can continue to work without OpenAI, Claude or Zywrap.

  2. Make sure WooCommerce is installed and active.
  3. Open AI Flash Tune > Leak Scan. Numbers appear as shoppers visit; your own visits as an admin are not counted.
  4. Open Carts and click “Turn on reminders”. Use “Send me a test” to check that your site can send email.
  5. Optional: turn on the “Save my cart” box under Carts > Edit emails and timing, and, if your shoppers are in the EU or UK, “Wait for visitor consent before tracking” in Settings.

FAQ

Is the abandoned cart recovery really free?

Yes. Reminder emails, coupons, cart links, the “Save my cart” box, WhatsApp links and the recovery reports are part of this free plugin, with no limit on carts or emails. AI Flash Tune Pro adds other channels (automatic WhatsApp and SMS), testing and AI help; it does not hold back any part of the email recovery.

Who sends the reminder emails?

Your own site, through WooCommerce, like your order emails. If your order emails reach customers, reminders will too; an SMTP plugin gives the best delivery. The Carts page shows whether emails are going out and what to do if they are not.

Which carts get a reminder?

Carts left in the last 7 days where the shopper is a logged-in customer or typed an email at checkout or in the “Save my cart” box. Carts that look like bots, carts below a minimum value you choose, and addresses on your never-remind list are skipped. Reminders stop when the shopper orders, unsubscribes or clicks “No thanks” at checkout.

Does it work with the block checkout?

Yes. Email and phone capture, the “No thanks” note, cart links and recovered-order tracking work on both the classic and the block cart and checkout.

Is it GDPR friendly?

Every reminder has an unsubscribe link and a List-Unsubscribe header, the checkout note offers “No thanks”, tracking can wait for visitor consent, and reminder data is covered by WordPress’s export and erase tools. Whether you need consent before sending reminders depends on your country, so check with your adviser.

Can I switch from another cart recovery plugin?

Yes, from Cart Abandonment Recovery for WooCommerce (CartFlows), Abandoned Cart Lite for WooCommerce and FunnelKit Automations. On the Import page (AI Flash Tune > Import), one click brings over their open carts from the last 30 days and every address that unsubscribed there. Once you deactivate the old plugin, carts from the last 7 days can carry on with the reminders they have left, so nobody gets the same reminder twice. Nothing is changed in the other plugin’s data.

Does the WhatsApp button send messages automatically?

No. It opens WhatsApp with your message and the cart link already written, and you press Send.

Are the reminder translations checked by native speakers?

Not yet. The default reminder texts in the 23 included languages were machine translated. Corrections are welcome, and any text you change in the settings is sent exactly as you wrote it.

How do I check that tracking works?

Open your store in a private window (so you are not logged in), view a product, add it to the cart, open checkout and place a test order. Leak Scan and Funnel show the steps within a few minutes.

Is AI Flash Tune only an AI plugin?

No. AI Flash Tune is a WooCommerce conversion and sales-leak tool first. Local insights and tracking can work without external AI.

Does it require OpenAI?

No. OpenAI is optional. OpenAI Mode is only used when the site owner configures and enables it.

Does it require Claude?

No. Claude is optional. Claude Mode is only used when the site owner saves an Anthropic API key and enables it.

Does it require Zywrap?

No. Zywrap is optional. Zywrap Mode is only used when configured and enabled.

What does “low confidence” mean?

It means the store does not yet have enough data for strong conclusions. The plugin may still show directional guidance, but the store owner should review and measure carefully.

What does “Needs Data” mean?

It means the product, funnel step, or report area does not have enough tracked activity yet for reliable analysis.

Why does the plugin say to review before acting?

Conversion changes can affect revenue. AI Flash Tune encourages safe, reversible changes and recommends measuring results before making more changes.

Does AI Flash Tune send customer contact data to AI providers?

AI Flash Tune is designed to use sanitized aggregate store signals for AI features and avoid sending customer contact data by default. Site owners should review AI settings, provider settings, and consent requirements before enabling external AI providers.

Will this slow my store?

AI Flash Tune is designed to keep frontend tracking lightweight. Heavier reporting and analysis should run in admin views, cached summaries, or scheduled tasks where possible.

Can agencies use AI Flash Tune?

Yes. Agencies can use it to review store health, funnel issues, checkout friction, abandoned carts, product opportunities, tracking quality, and client-facing reports.

Can AI Flash Tune apply changes automatically?

AI Flash Tune is designed around review-first optimization. AI Flash Tune Pro features may support controlled workflows, but conversion-sensitive changes should be reviewed before being applied.

Can I use it without external AI?

Yes. Local Mode and local tracking can provide useful store signals without connecting OpenAI or Zywrap.

Changelog

1.0.4

  • New: the AI Flash Tune logo at the top of the plugin’s menu, an AI Flash Tune icon in the WordPress menu, and the WordPress submenu in the same order as the plugin’s own (main pages, Pro, then Import, Settings, Licence, Help).
  • New: Claude as an AI provider, with your own Anthropic API key (Claude Haiku 4.5 or Claude Sonnet 5), next to OpenAI and Zywrap.
  • New: an “Already bought Pro?” box on the Licence page, with links to download Pro from your aiflashtune.com account and to WordPress’s plugin upload screen. The free plugin still installs nothing itself and contacts no licence server.
  • New: “Ready for AI shopping” on the Leak Scan. It checks that AI assistants may read the store (robots.txt), which products lack what AI shopping answers need (description, image, price, brand, barcode, reviews), and whether returns and delivery are clear; it also shows visits and orders from AI assistants against everyone else.
  • New: visits sent by AI assistants (ChatGPT, Gemini, Perplexity, Copilot, Claude and others) are recognised, shown in each cart’s details, remembered on the order, and can be compared in Funnel (“AI assistants”).
  • New: bots, scripts, headless browsers and AI fetchers are kept out of the funnel and the cart list, and counted.
  • Fixed: visits from ChatGPT links (utm_source=chatgpt.com) were counted as paid ads.
  • New: Funnel Compare (devices, guests and customers side by side) and the checkout Quick fixes (hide Company, make Phone optional, guest checkout, a reassurance line under Place order) are free, each with Undo.
  • New: developer hooks for other ways to send reminders (aiflt_recovery_channels, aiflt_recovery_send_{channel}), the texts and coupon of one reminder (aiflt_recovery_email_step, aiflt_recovery_coupon) and added AI providers (aiflt_ai_providers).
  • Changed: new name, “AI Flash Tune – Abandoned Cart Recovery & Funnel Analytics for WooCommerce”, because recovering carts is now the heart of the free plugin.
  • New: opens and recovery rate. Carts and the dashboard show how many reminders were opened, how many shoppers came back to their cart and how many orders were won back, as numbers and as a share of the carts emailed.
  • New: “Are emails going out?” on the Carts page: last and next check, emails due, sent and failed today, the last mail error, a Check now button, and the fix when WordPress’s scheduled tasks are switched off or not running.
  • New: an email to the store owner when a reminder wins back an order (on by default; choose the address or turn it off).
  • New: a never-remind list of emails, whole domains or IP addresses (use * for a range).
  • New: reminders go out in the shopper’s language. The page language is saved with the checkout email, texts you did not change are sent in that language, and the default texts come in 23 languages (machine translated).
  • New: a “Save my cart” box on the cart page and a “Save your cart?” popup when a desktop shopper is about to leave. The shopper gets the link to their cart at once and the reminders follow. Both are off until you turn them on.
  • New: WhatsApp. When a shopper typed a phone number at checkout, their cart has a WhatsApp button that opens WhatsApp with your message and the cart link. “Can contact” now includes carts with only a phone number.
  • New: dashboard fixes that measure themselves. Settings the plugin can change for you (the delivery cost on the cart page, guest checkout, a free-shipping note) have a “Do it” button with Undo, and 14 days later the dashboard shows the rate before and after.
  • New: the weekly summary email includes reminders sent, opened, returned to the cart and won back.
  • New: finished reminders older than the tracking retention (at least 90 days) are removed every day.
  • Changed: carts older than 7 days, which reminders never pick up, now say “Too old to remind” instead of “Not reminded yet”.
  • New: move from Cart Abandonment Recovery (CartFlows), Abandoned Cart Lite (Tyche) or FunnelKit Automations, on the new Import page. Their open carts from the last 30 days and all unsubscribed addresses come over; after the old plugin is deactivated, carts from the last 7 days carry on with the reminders they have left. Emails the old plugin sent are not counted as yours.
  • Fixed: the Carts table could make the page wider than the screen on tablet-sized windows.
  • Fixed: pages a shopper visited after giving an email or phone did not carry it, so the cart list could show a cart without its email.
  • New: automatic cart reminders, free. Shoppers who typed their email and left get up to three emails (after 1 hour, 1 day and 3 days by default), each with a link that puts their cart back and opens checkout. Reminders stop when the shopper orders, and an order after a reminder counts as recovered revenue.
  • New: optional one-time coupon in any reminder, only for that shopper, applied when they open their cart; unused coupons are cleaned up.
  • New: reminder emails use your WooCommerce email design. Edit the subject, heading, text and timing of each email, preview it, or send yourself a test.
  • New: an unsubscribe link and header in every reminder, a “No thanks” note under the checkout email field, and reminder data in WordPress’s personal data export and erase tools.
  • New: the checkout email is saved as it is typed (not only when the field loses focus), on classic and block checkout; the first name is used to personalise reminders.
  • New: Carts shows which carts can be contacted, each cart’s reminder status and history, and a link you can copy to put a cart back.
  • New: Leak Scan is now a dashboard: revenue, orders, average order, conversion, money left in carts and money recovered, visits and orders per day, where shoppers stop, devices, and reminder results.
  • Changed: the biggest-leak card lists what to change, and ticks off what is already done (free shipping, reminders, guest checkout, checkout length).
  • Fixed: Leak Scan asked you to review carts that were left before checkout, which never have an email. It now points to the cart page itself.
  • Fixed: advice text still named pages that were merged (“Checkout Optimizer”, “Cart Recovery”, “Funnel Analysis”).
  • New: a simpler admin. Leak Scan opens with the biggest money leak and up to three things to do next; each task has one page (10 menu items instead of 18). Old page addresses still work and open the right page.
  • New: every screen uses one design with built-in icons, and works on phones. The old stylesheet and the Font Awesome and date-picker libraries are no longer loaded.
  • New: Licence has its own menu item, with a list of what Pro adds on each page.
  • New: Products has status filters (Leaking, Weak, Good, Needs data) and sorting; each product page shows visits, add-to-cart, orders and conversion against the store average, with a plain-language hint about the weakest step.
  • New: Change history (Reports › Client reports) lists every change AI Flash Tune made, with Undo.
  • Fixed: the client report download and the weekly summary email showed 0 for every number. They now use the chosen period.
  • Fixed: Products hid everything recorded before the plugin was last activated, “Needs data” filtered only the current page, and “Weak” also listed leaking products.
  • Fixed: the privacy tools rejected the visit IDs the tracker writes, and “Export” put the file into the page instead of downloading it. Carts now show each visit ID.
  • Fixed: the page clutter check downloaded the product page on every visit to the product screen. The result is now kept for 12 hours, with a Check again button.
  • Fixed: an AI answer that contained a currency sign such as ₨ was split into a broken heading.
  • Fixed: carts that were bought were listed as abandoned (and counted as lost money) until WooCommerce Analytics finished its background import, and forever when Analytics was turned off. Order status is now read from WooCommerce’s own order storage.
  • Fixed: on block themes, submitted checkouts were never recorded, because the thank-you hook they relied on runs only on the classic thank-you page. Orders awaiting payment (for example bank transfers on hold) showed as abandoned carts.
  • Fixed: the Products screen showed 0 sales when WooCommerce Analytics was off or had not caught up, and on stores that keep orders in HPOS tables. Sales now come from the same confirmed-sale records as the funnel.
  • Fixed: a new order, refund or cancellation now shows in the funnel and Leak Scan at once, instead of after the five-minute report cache ran out.
  • Fixed: “Left at checkout” showed the cart-to-checkout drop-off instead of the share of shoppers who opened checkout and did not buy.
  • Fixed: with “Delete data on uninstall” on, deleting AI Flash Tune before AI Flash Tune Pro left Pro’s data behind.
  • Changed: the plugin header declares its requirements (WooCommerce, WordPress 5.8, PHP 7.4), so WordPress enforces them.
  • Changed: translation files are synced with the current strings; strings that belong to AI Flash Tune Pro moved to Pro’s own files.
  • Fixed: the “lost sales” and abandoned-cart value were wrong on stores whose prices use a comma as decimal separator (for example 1.234,56 €). Cart snapshots now store the plain number; older snapshots are read with the store’s own separators.
  • Fixed: on sites with full-page caching all visitors could share one session, and one shopper’s checkout email could be attached to another shopper’s cart. The session now comes only from the visitor’s own cookie; nothing visitor-specific is printed into the page.
  • Fixed: sales confirmed later by a payment webhook or by an admin changing the order status were skipped (the admin’s own role is excluded from tracking) or not linked to the shopper’s visit. The shopper’s session is now stored on the order.
  • Fixed: the “Restore previous copy” button on the Agency & Growth Toolkit did nothing.
  • Fixed: the weekly summary email kept moving a week ahead on busy sites and used UTC instead of the site timezone.
  • Security: tracking requests are rate-limited per IP address as well as per visitor, accept only known event types and this site’s own page URLs, and require a valid nonce or a same-site origin.
  • Security: saved OpenAI and Zywrap keys are no longer printed back into the settings page.
  • Privacy: new “Wait for visitor consent before tracking” setting with WP Consent API support; the privacy exporter and eraser now include guest shoppers; the suggested privacy-policy text lists everything that is stored; IPv6 addresses are redacted from AI payloads; the “aggregate data only” setting is now enforced for every AI request.
  • Performance: database tables are no longer checked on every page load; the storefront loads a small tracking script instead of the whole admin script; funnel reports are cached for five minutes; large abandoned-cart lookups run in chunks.
  • Changed: licensing, add-on installation and add-on updates moved out of this plugin into AI Flash Tune Pro. The free plugin no longer contacts any AI Flash Tune server.
  • Changed: the monthly AI action limit is now an optional spending cap on your own key (0 = no limit) and no longer depends on a paid plan.
  • Changed: admin pages now use prefixed slugs (for example page=aiflt-funnel instead of page=funnelanalysis) so they cannot collide with other plugins.
  • Changed: rule-based insights no longer say “The AI has detected”; they describe what the numbers show.
  • Removed: unused language downloader, duplicate font files and other dead code.
